Construction of a school begins in Anié
In March 2025, Essomé began building a school in Anié. Pupils, teachers, local authorities and members of the association gathered for the groundbreaking: an important step towards giving children a decent and lasting place to learn.
School guidance day in Anié
Also in Anié, in March 2025, our team met pupils for a day of school and career guidance: presentations of study paths and professions, hands-on workshops and conversations to help each young person shape their plans for the future.
The Esgenius programme
Launched by Essomé, the Esgenius programme supports young people aged 7 to 17 who face difficulties at school or in accessing vocational training. With a focus on education and career guidance, Esgenius aims to give these young people a second chance, so they can rise, flourish and build a promising future.
Selection criteria
- Precarious financial situation and difficult access to education or training
- Dropping out of school, risk of failure or need for career guidance
- Aged 7 to 17, living in a priority area (disadvantaged neighbourhoods, rural areas)
- Willingness to learn, commitment and respect for the values of Essomé and Esgenius
- Gender equity and support for young people facing specific vulnerabilities
Donations to Anié hospital
In March 2024, Essomé handed over medical supplies and equipment to Anié hospital, including blood pressure monitors and consumables, to improve the care available to children and families in the region.
Christmas project 2022
For Christmas 2022, our first major project, we organised a festive day for the children: a shared meal, gifts, colouring workshops and games, so that every child could enjoy a happy Christmas.
